NORCOR Adult Facility Overview
Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Adult Facility, often called the NORCOR Adult Jail, is located in The Dalles and serves Wasco, Hood River, Sherman, and Gilliam counties. NORCOR is a public regional corrections operation, not a private jail and not a county-only jail. Its adult corrections page lists a sheriff oversight committee that includes Wasco County Sheriff Lane Magill and sheriffs from the other member counties. The adult jail facility manager named in the research is Commander Joyce Orendorff.
The NORCOR Adult Facility is the main custody source for adult Wasco County jail searches. The county sheriff's "How Do I?" page directs users to Northern Oregon Corrections for inmate checks, either through the NORCOR website or by phone at 541-298-1576. This facility's official pages did not publish a rated capacity, formal custody-level chart, pod names, or a Wasco-only average daily population. Public counts should be treated as regional adult custody counts.
View the NORCOR Adult Corrections source page for the official adult jail contact block, roster link, oversight committee, and service navigation.
The adult corrections page is the hub for roster, visitation, mail, money, bail, public information, PREA, and victim-notification paths tied to the facility.
NORCOR Adult Facility Population
The best official current population figure in the research is the NORCOR Adults in Custody roster count captured on June 25, 2026 at 15:30. It listed 62 adults in custody. That number should not be labeled as the Wasco County inmate population because NORCOR is a four-county regional jail and can also show federal U.S. Marshals holds. It is a current facility load snapshot, not a cleaned statistical report.
Roster examples included probation violations, parole violations, post-prison supervision sanctions, bench warrants, scheduled releases, DUII charges, assault, burglary, sex abuse, and a federal U.S. Marshals hold. One row appeared to be a training entry, so the roster should not be used as a perfect demographic dataset. Aggregate Wasco-only jail demographics, annual bookings, housing-unit counts, and facility capacity were not published in the official NORCOR or Wasco pages reviewed.
NORCOR Adult Inmate Lookup
The correct public lookup path for this regional adult jail is the NORCOR Adults in Custody roster. It is a date and time stamped table, not a form-based name search. Users browse the list or use the browser find command, then click a row to open the public adult-in-custody detail page. The roster is the same public path Wasco County points to for its jail because Wasco County does not operate a separate county-branded jail roster.
- Open the NORCOR Adults in Custody roster and check the date, time, and current count at the top.
- Browse the current table or use browser find for the person's last name because the roster has no search box.
- Review the row for booking date, lead charge, bail, and scheduled release information.
- Click the row to open the detail record with booking number, arrest date, bond, bail, descriptors, charges, and dispositions.
- If the person is not listed, call NORCOR, use Wasco sheriff records for releasable reports, or search Oregon Offender Search after a state-prison transfer.
| Roster Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Date and time | When the current roster snapshot was posted |
| Name | Adult in custody name, with the row opening a detail record |
| Booking date | Date jail intake was recorded |
| Charges | Lead charge, warrant, sanction, or hold label |
| Bail | Amount if listed, with Telmate fee note where applicable |
| Scheduled release | Release date if posted, blank if none is shown |
The public detail sample inspected in the research showed no-photo placeholder imagery, file number, booking number, arrest date, age, sex, height, weight, hair, eyes, total bond, total bail, Telmate fee estimates, and charge information. Booking photos should not be expected from the adult roster in Oregon.
NORCOR Adult Address and Contact
Use the adult facility contact line for current custody, bail amount checks, release timing, lobby access, and visit or mail questions. Wasco County Sheriff's Records is a different route for sheriff reports and releasable law-enforcement records. Current jail status starts with NORCOR because the adult facility is the jail serving Wasco County.

NORCOR Adult Visiting Rules
Video visitation is the main public visit method at Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Adult Facility. Lobby video visits run during weekday lobby hours, and remote video visits run into the evening on weekdays through GettingOut or Telmate. In-person friend and family visits are not immediate. The adult must be in NORCOR custody for at least 30 days, must request the visit through ViaPath to a sergeant, and the visit must be approved and scheduled.
View the NORCOR visitation source page for the official video visit schedule, ID rules, dress code, attorney visits, and in-person eligibility.
The visit page is especially important because it explains the 30-day in-person threshold and the difference between lobby video, remote video, attorney visits, clergy visits, and operational restrictions.
| Visit Type | Schedule or Eligibility | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Lobby video | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | Telmate video tablets in the NORCOR Administration lobby |
| Remote video | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. | GettingOut website or GettingOut Visits app |
| Free video minutes | 60 minutes weekly, renewed Monday | Adult in custody free visiting time |
| Paid remote video | Beyond free minutes | $0.25 per minute per NORCOR page |
| In-person friend/family | After 30 days in custody, with AIC request and approval | Scheduled through administration |
| Attorney visits | Weekdays 8:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-4:30 p.m.; weekends and holidays 8:00 a.m.-noon | Attorney with valid bar card |
NORCOR Adult Mail and Money
Personal mail for Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Adult Facility is digital through TextBehind. The address format requires NORCOR, Oregon, the adult in custody's full name, the AIC file number, and PO Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131. Beginning September 1, 2023, personal mail moved to the digital delivery system. Legal mail, confidential mail, periodicals, pamphlets, and publisher paperback books use separate direct-mail rules to the Webber Street facility address.
Money and commissary are handled through GettingOut/Telmate, the lobby kiosk, money orders, JailATM care packs, and outsideinside.com gift boxes. The kiosk accepts cash and major cards for deposits during posted hours, but American Express cannot be used for bail. Property release is limited and generally requires AIC approval, picture ID from the recipient, and command staff approval when hardship or storage limits justify release.
View the NORCOR money and property source page for deposit channels, care pack options, kiosk hours, property release rules, and approved medical-item transfer limits.
The money and property page connects several post-lookup tasks, including deposits, care packs, bail account funding, approved medical items, and release of stored property.

NORCOR Adult Bail and Records
NORCOR's bail page states that any adult 18 or older can post security or bail for an adult in custody 24 hours a day, except another adult in custody cannot post bail. The posting person must show official picture ID and cannot be under the influence. NORCOR says the security amount can be found on the Adults in Custody page or by calling 541-298-1576, and the amount can change at any time because of charges or court action.
| Bail Channel | Key Rule |
|---|---|
| Arraigning court | Use court instructions during regular business hours |
| NORCOR lobby Telmate kiosk | Cash or card; side-door button if lobby is closed |
| Telmate phone | 866-516-0115, then notify staff if bail was posted by phone |
| Self-bail | Adult in custody may post their own bail in booking |
Public records requests for NORCOR records go through NORCOR Administration in person, by mail, email, or fax. Wasco County Sheriff's Records handles sheriff reports and written public-records requests at sheriff@wascocountyor.gov, by fax at 541-506-2581, by hand delivery, or by mail to the Records Division at 511 Washington Street, Suite 102. Reports tied to pending criminal charges may be withheld until the case is closed or adjudicated.
NORCOR Adult Booking Intake
Official NORCOR pages do not publish a full booking manual, but the public roster and detail pages show the intake fields that become visible after booking. The facility records arrest date, booking date, booking number, file number, physical descriptors, total bond, total bail, charges, and disposition rows. Intake may also include identity checks, property inventory, health screening, classification, and placement under local jail standards.
